Lion's Mane

About Lion's Mane

Incredible Health Benefits

Lion's Mane Mushrooms are an edible fungus with a long history of use in traditional Chinese medicine for many stomach ailments, including stomach and gut cancer. Early clinical trials with a Lion's Mane polysaccharide known as beta glucose show an immune strengthening effect while having minimal or zero negative side effects. Potentially, this is a great benefit to cancer patients, whose immune system is weakened by disease and anticancer treatments.

Additionally, Lion's Mane has been credited with protecting and promoting healthy nerve cells in the brain and nervous system. It supports memory and cognition to prevent damage and deterioration to short-term and visual recognition memory, which are both often problems for people who suffer from Alzheimer's disease.

Lion's Mane can also reduce anxiety and depression, along with boosting mood and concentration.

Cancer Fighter

NK Cells, a type of white blood cell in the human immune system, detect and attack infected and cancerous cells. Macrophages are another type of white blood cell that digests anything that the body cannot identify as normal and healthy. Angiogenesis is the process by which new cells form from old ones; this process is key to malignant tumor growth. Malignant tumors can invade nearby tissue, organs, and even spread to distant areas of the body.

Various compounds and extracts found in Lion's Mane have been shown to be toxic to cancer cells. These studies show that Lion's Mane may block the growth of cancers including stomach, colon, and liver cancer.
